Signage on a new Chem Store Door

We have just had a new fire door put on our chem store in the prep area. There is no signage now and the old one has been scrapped.
Consulting the mighty CLEAPSS site, I found 'DLH7 - Risk assessment for chemical storage'. This only says, a little vaguely; suitable hazard signs are in place on the door.

So do we place all the hazard symbols that are in the chem store (so all bar Radioactive) and perhaps a sign saying 'Chemical Store'?

What do others have on theirs.
Note, the room isn't accessible to any students as you have to go through the prep room to get to it.
 
Ours is straight into corridor so is unlabelled to avoid tempting them. I'd only label it for who will need to use it, if its just techs then just "chemical storage area" or something to help anyone new. Anyone accessing it beyond that should know what hazards are in there hopefully so is it helpful to put hazard symbols on? Maybe to scare SLT?
 
The only official labels on mine are 'flammable' and 'compressed gas'. But I also collect the big coloured diamond hazard stickers off of chemical deliveries and stick them on there :laughing:
 
Mine has "Chemical Store" sign and a copy of chemical storage guidance from section 7 in the handbook.
 
Same here, a very small boring hazards sign, no name.
(It's right next to lab so some students see me come in and out.)

Fire brigade is aware, and anyone else shouldn't be around in an emergency. I think the logic is don't make it tempting.

There aren't actually any compressed gases in there (well - only a tiny, virtually empty CO2 cylinder for the dry ice maker), I got rid of the O2 and H2 to Tech years ago because we never used them. I should probably take the sign down ...

but they didn't replace ours when they changed the fire doors.

Same with radioactive sources. Only the storage cabinet need have the signage.

I just checked, after posting earlier - Our sign (from before my time) is like the first here but 'hazardous area and ' No unauthorised access.
signs awalking man crossed out, exclamation mark triangle. No mention of chemicals.
The sign is small so you can vaguely see it looks like a no entry sign to a hazardous area.
Solid door, no other identification.
 
Mine has 'flammable' and 'oxidising' hazards on but they were on there when I started. Since then the door now opens into a corridor not into the prep room like it used to so maybe I should remove/change those! The old ones are stickers though so it's going to be a pain
 
I went on the good chem store cleapss course at the Birmingham technicians conference. Their opinion was either generic warning sign or no signage at all, depends upon the individual circumstances.

Ours is on a main corridor so it's completely unlabelled.
 
Yes one place I had an outside chemical store, they wanted to put all the hazard signs on the door, my argument was, it's been unlabelled for years, labelling it will just draw attention to the contents. That's where the compromise was to put on the inside of the door as I suggested. That way if someone broke in, did themselves some damage at least the warning signs were there to cover our liabilities.
