Science technician, Haringey, London, closes 7 Nov (but may extend so check)

Hello! We are a lovely Alternative Provision school in Haringey and I am the Science Lead Teacher. I am new to the role, and the school has been without a technician for quite a while - we are looking to increase the practical science our students are able to do and develop innovative ways to support practical science across all our provisions - including ones without specialist classrooms or equipment.

We're looking for a lab technician to go on that journey with us! Full details below. Part-time, days negotiable. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

I live about 15 minutes away from Haringey.
There are a few amazing Italian delis there on the high street. Good prices and quality. Just saying this for future candidates.

I lived in Haringey for many years before moving back to Sheffield. It is a strange borough. The east; N15 and N17, is rather deprived. I lived on Broadwater Farm for a year or so, after the riots. The west is affluent, Muswell Hill and Highgate and Ally Pally! I don't recall any other borough that has that demographic.

Chelsea and Hammersmith is quite similar as is the borough of Merton

I agree. I lived in South Kensington for a while and was based in Chelsea. That 'Royal Borough' is a north/south divide. I worked in Fulham too, driving all over the Borough. Hammersmith was a bit of a hole. I don't really know Merton.

Merton is where AFC Wimbledon is, I was there for the football and parts were run down and parts were nice, the closer to SW19 and the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet club you get the posher it gets

I got taken to Wimbledon once to see Federer in the semis. Matthew Perry and Ronnie Wood were there too!
