Is anyone else still having issues with safety specs going walkabout?
I have just replaced 24 pairs across 2 labs - that's £33.60 worth of equipment vanished into thin air *Sigh*

Yep - about 60 had gone missing between Christmas and Feb half-term, and just been in 1 lab where at least 15 more have gone missing since then judging by the empty slots in the holder on the wall..... lord knows how they do a prac with 30 kids and only 20 pairs of safety specs......

Yup
We tried hiding them in the rooms so the opportunity was removed but that only worked when the teachers remembered to put them away after use

In the end we resorted to removing them from the room entirely and sending them out with pracs
Has greatly reduced (like 5 n total since Christmas instead of 30 a week before) the amount going walkies

We are going to do a count on Monday and another one later that week or the week after. I mark the side arm with the school initials and the lab number - if they still go missing then it's not my problem

Just topped up last week , after one week 10 pairs in one room have gone walkabout!!
