replacement dishwashwer

Hi All, We are looking for a new dishwasher for the chemistry dept. Would anyone have any recommendations at a good price thanks. It will be heavily used . What model do ther schools use ?

If you have the budget you really need a proper lab glasswasher as a domestic dishwasher will not handle the use/chemicals and (as far as I am aware) any warranty will be void as you are using a domestic appliance for an industrial use. These however are not cheap but they do last for years (our oldest one is still going strong after 15 years).
Also be aware that when you buy these, especially in the case of Miele, you buy the machine but it doesn't come with the inserts - you need to cost these separately.
For pricing try someone like Wolflabs uk who do offers and starter packages or SLS who offer good discounts.

I have a domestic one thats kicking on 6 years old now, take good care of it and it'll run fine

You'll want something that does a hot wash and a quick wash amongst it's programs to cover whatever you need it to do and those fast turn around days

Pretty much any £100-150 dishwasher will do the trick as long as it'll fit your space ;)

We buy domestic ones that are already damaged - i.e. dents and scratches - we don't care what they look like!

We've got a couple of Beko domestic ones. I think we paid around £350 each for them and they do the job well. They'll last ages if you look after them. One of ours is about 6 years old and the other is brand new which replaced one that was 9 years old. We've definitely had our monies worth out of them.

We have a Domestic BOSH DW from new in 2014 still going strong , Although I pretty much rinse any chemicals From tubes or conicals BEFORE they go in the dishwasher , i think doing this has extended the life of the dish washer as other Appliances only lasted 2-3 yrs with a part time lab Assistant filling the washer With dirty chemical contaminated glassware , im a lone Tech now since 2014 so i know whats gone in the present Dish washer
