Regretting the choice in colour

The only important question is: do YOU like it?

If yes, ignore everyone else.
If no, return.

My flat that I am designing has.... let's just say.... quite eccentric wallpaper. Not to everyone's taste but who cares, I love it ;)

Looks fine to me - really smart...! I think some people need to grow up a little.... What are they, 5 years old...?
I've had Dr Death, Harrold Shipman, asking if it was my coming out coat, and just folks bursting out laughing

If no, return.
I got it embroidered so that's a no.

Think I'll just own it and wear it with pride, plus I can laugh when they're all freezing, the Howie style is surprisingly warm.

If you do decide you don't like the colour, and if it's a fairly high cotton content, you could dye it - I've done a lab coat with Dylon before.

That's really not on. Stuff like that could be really upsetting for a lot of people - I really don't think it's on to behave like that towards people in the workplace.

Definitely wear it with pride. I've got a couple of white Howie coats, and I much prefer them to the "open neck" style; in my old job when the heating was bust they were lovely and warm, and the elasticated cuffs are great! I rarely wear my lab coat now, but when I do I choose the Howie.

Go for the full rainbow-pattern tie-dye.... see what they say then...! :)

I am using this as a feature wall (not all the way around). My bedroom is "astral" themed with a star sky ceiling mural and planet pendant. Bathroom is emerald green and white marble look (not real marble lol) with gold (real gold, just kidding) highlights. Hallway is prismatic colour wallpaper with a feature gold mirror.

Love the colour ! But couldn't wear the neckline.
Everything has to be V or similar. I feel claustrophobic in high necks.

Ooh nice! I would choose that too!

Don't think I could go back to open neck after this.

One of the biologists here was in a micro lab before teaching and says it looks far better on me, the others are like warehouse coats in her opinion.
Our old head tech ( on here, she'll know!) didn't like coloured lab coats for similar reason.

I used to dream of having a bedroom like that. Now I just have arguments about whether X is a bedroom colour or not.

It's real Science not Rocket Science
Back in 1975 we moved into a house that was VERY 1970s -
Kitchen - 2 bright orange walls including the inside window frames, 2 walls green and turquoise vertical string wallpaper.
Stairwell - dark brick red.
Sitting room - 1 wall (with fireplace with 1970s gas fire) varnished vertical wood strips, ceiling white, 2 walls 'poo brown'.
Bathroom - lime green and brown patterned wallpaper and lime green walls
My bedroom - mid- and dark blue including windowsills and ceiling
Other bedroom - bright red and white
Parents room - similar wallpaper to bathroom but different pattern

Wish I still had photos. ;)

'I've just completed LGBT training, 'asking if it was my coming out coat' is downright rude and offensive. This is exactly the wrong type of comments that people think its ok to poke fun at towards the LGBT community. These are meant to be professionals working with young people.

Looks lovely! My first lab coat was tie dyed (in Alevles )- purple and blue - and all the lads dyed theirs hot Pink. i still have mine at home but i don't bring it to work.. but I've contemplated tie dyeing any new ones I get.

When my Mum and Dad moved in 1975 the new place had orange kitchen cupboards with a yellow floor that somehow always made me think of hard boiled eggs. No two walls were the same colour in the rest of the place. I was a bit sad to see the pale blue bathroom suite go about five years ago, I quite liked it!
