Apparently I'm on scale point 6 of the national pay scale, what point are the rest of you at and does anyone have any info on what constitutes a senior technician and what scale point they should be on?

Dammit man! I'm a technician, not a magician!
I don't know if I'm an outlier or not, but just looking at it, I'm on Scale Point 11 for the FTE figure, but once Pro-Rata'd down for TTO, my actual earnings fall somewhere between Scale Point 7 and 8.

I've just been made senior and I'm on equivalent of NJC12, the ceiling in our MAT is 15 for me. The others go from points 2-6.

We don't use the bandings, but when they restructured us into the MAT they included a comparison chart for the two authority pay scales, the NJC scales and the MAT scales so we could see where we are/were.

I'm not sure where I fall as we don't use the NJC bandings here. I'm the senior tech so think its equivalent to scale point 11 or 12 though.

I'm on NJC09. I don't know whether that is the "senior" rate or not - since I'm the only one I don't have anything to compare to. It's enough for me though, especially after the recent pay rises.

Mine is the same NJC12 - I was recently made up to senior

We don't have 'senior' techs here; they got rid of the role years ago and gave the responsibilities to the deputy science head, so we're all technically sitting in the highest (read: only) tech positions in the school, but I'm at SCP 9 equivalent (Scale 4?) I think -- when adjusted for TTO, not FTE.
Am in London tho so I know that has an impact.

Some of the scales seem to not match our NJC scales.
Highest ours goes is Scale 6 then SO1 & 2 , PO1&2 then management grades. As posted by @Skeoch05 but with different rates of pay.

I'm a senior and my pay is FTE £21,968 to £22,777 (Grade E, Scale Points 06-08)

We seem to follow the NJC scale but the boundaries are different so £22,777 FTE is the top of my pay scale.
