Need help - culturing bacillus subtilis

Hi, need a little help... i think. I'm culturing e coli (left in pic added for comparison), which I've done quite often by now, and b subtilis (middle and right), which I'm doing for the first time. The bs seems not to have cultured. I used the same technique for the ec and the bs, did them sequentially even. Should it not look cloudier? Should I start again from the slope? Both ec and bs slopes were delivered during the holidays and refrigerated in good time. I need this for tomorrow (the initial five tickets on my lablogger docket exploded thoroughly to fill the back end of the week)

Like I say, I've never used bs before. I might try doing a lawn plate see what grows but schedule is too tight.

B. Subtilis can form sediment at the bottom instead of clouding, a little shake might reveal some signs of growth. IME of culturing it over the past couple of years, it's a bit of a slow grower. We tend to give it a few days, one culture took about a week once! A bit of shaking while it grows seems to help, nothing vigorous, just to spread it about in the broth a bit.
It might still work, so just run with it this time. Next time consider trying to get it going a couple of days before the e.coli.
