"Sorry, I'm just a little technician with my little trolley, I wouldn't know how to do that!
"
but it will take at least five times longer for the students to do it than when you do it.
Yep, that's why they can only do pracs in double lessons...Don't forget to warn the teacher that yapping for 45 minutes to introduce the practical won't leave enough time at the end.
A person can only delegate tasks, not responsibility.i did reiterate this morning that its not my responsibility, which fell on deaf ears and he said that she can only do practical's when i have gone through it with her and i say she is competent to do it!!
so if she messes up, does that mean it falls on my head?! bugger off!!!![]()
I'm improving my Cyrillic handwriting in down time between tasks. Nice to know there's another languages nerd on here!In order to keep the brain active, a few years ago now, I learned how to read Egyptian hieroglyphs. Started with a book from the library, then went on to study advanced and further readings at Birkbeck College in the evenings for seven years. Sat next to a girl on my first lesson who is now my wife, and we had our honeymoon on a steam paddleboat on the Nile. Had the front cabin with a private balcony. Best thing I ever did deciding to go on that course. I used to sit in an empty lab at lunchtimes doing translations for my homework.
Less nerdy, more trying slowly, but did french duolingo during lockdown and got addicted (languages being my worst thing at O level!). Now learning ukrainian- though probably means my french is disappearing due to lack of use...I'm improving my Cyrillic handwriting in down time between tasks.
