Is it OK for a Y4/5 student to draw around another students body to create a life size drawing of a human body?

We are planning a lesson for visiting Y4/Y5 students. It involves them drawing around a friends body- ie life size body print.
We are then going to talk about different body organs and stick them on the body as we go along.
Now, i dont see a problem- but the tricky issue is drawing around the crotch area- Any thoughts?

Could sit on the floor to do their own "sensitive" areas, and then lie down get a friend to do the other areas they either can't reach themselves or can't do sitting up....?

Dammit man! I'm a technician, not a magician!
You could ask them to keep their feet together and just draw around those and avoid the issue entirely, perhaps. Then ask them how the feet might be together despite the 'subject' being deceased.

I wouldn't do it - but it is the teacher's call nothing to do with the technician.

Tell them to draw up as far as the knees and stop. When they stand up, you can draw the crotch area yourself, bit of artistic licence.

Was thinking about typing this advice all the way down the thread
If they're adamant about doing the drawing live then just stop lower - hell get them to do it with their legs together and draw a split line up the picture after they stand up

Keep their legs together draw around the outside, and free hand between the legs, same thing ain't it?

It is an innocent activity with an educational goal but in this day and age it only takes one OTT set of parents/carers to complain. I think sometimes you have to have a 'what could go wrong' mentality when working in a school and this is one of those things that could go wrong in this way.
