Can I add thiosulfate to this for the chlorine? I think the tank itself is like 10L
I goofed and put pondweed (elodea densa) and daphnia in tapwater

Yes no problem you might get away with it - the elodea should be okay - daphnia maybe not - May as well try
I've always put elodea in tap water, never seen an issue with this.... is there one I don't know about? It grows and bubbles OK in tap water.
the bad stuff from tap water will mostly go away if you leave the water sitting for 24 hours or so....

I usually keep a few 2litre bottles of tap water sitting on a prep room window sill to use for pondweed, it always seems to be okay.
Pondweed seems healthy today

Mine are in tap water.
Do you let the water reach room temp before you add it to the tank? Could be cold shock killing them

Oh I see. Never thought of letting the water temp rise to room temp before adding things to a tank
