We use to teach our teachers the 'draw over it with the dry wipe pen' thing when I was at school I never understood how the kids had figured it out but the teachers hadn't, now I'm working in a school I get it

there is a demo you can do with a glazed plate. Draw a pic with a mix of permanent and board marker, carefully fill with water, the board marker will lift off and float away. I've seen it done with two stick men, one dies and becomes a ghost
