How long does enzyme solution work?

So did an oopsy and made x 2.5 solution I needed and was curious for how long can such a solution remain active for?

The enzyme works fine when tested but I can imagine it will deteriorate over time.

Chances are that it wont last well, as enzyme solutions are generally made up fresh for a practical. You could try storing it, and testing it's efficacy when you need it next. If it doesn't work, you will just dispose of it then instead of now.

Was thinking this also! No harm in testing it :)

I only keep enzymes for a couple of days max, I find they go a bit cloudy looking after that although when I worked in another lab job they would make up large batches of proteinase , aliquot them out into eppendorfs, freeze them for up to 6 months and that was approved by R&D department.
