Gauging Interest - Gratnell Trays to Sell/Exchange

Hi all - due to a comedy of errors our school has a surplus of the standard shallow Gratnell trays, and the prep room is drowning in them.

HOD and I are considering proposing to SLT that we sell them. If that's the case, is anyone in need of several hundred discounted Gratnell trays?

Thanks in advance!

Me again - after a year of putting it off I really do need to remove our tray fortress :pirate:

We have pink and grey shallow trays, several hundred (mostly grey).

Located in Hackney - let me know if anyone is interested. I have posted to the Facebook "School Equipment Redistribution" group as well.

It's a shame I left the college a week or so before you originally posted this, we would've taken them... they're moving into new labs soon too.

This idea of too many gratnell trays...

I'm so jealous! We've got a few pink ones and I would love more. Originally chemistry was pink, physics blue and biology yellow with lab equipment trays green, now they are all mixed apart from the lab ones. All one colour would make my heart sing.

Jealous as they're the sturdier stackable gratnells. We have some of them that get used well, but the rest, including a similar huge pile of shallow trays, are more flimsy.

Similar thing- newbuild preproom had all flimsy ones ordered/bought in, but luckily had kept sturdier ones from old room...

As a heads up, I guestimated using Royal Mail that posting a stack of 18 (the max size allowed as a "medium parcel") would cost around £5.95. That sounds low to me, does anyone else have experience mailing something similar?

Strange, the grey ones are circa 2021, while the pink ones are circa 2017. I have a new build prep room too; the reason we ended up with 800 surplus trays was that the builders said the room would come with just Gratnell racks, no trays. Department brought their old trays over, and lo and behold, the new shelves had trays.
