Digital Ammeter / Voltmeter with shunts

Greetings to all,

Is there any special need of using digital ammeters and voltmeters with shunts in A-Level Physics?

I don't know how you would do that. They are built in to give you the various ranges. We use analogue meters if we are doing a practical that requires shunts and multipliers.

I don't know how to calculate them for digital meters (they measure voltage not current) but they certainly exist as the easy read range from unilab have plugin shunts/multipliers

I make my own when needed for analogue meters.

We do OCR, there is no mention of them in the spec.
