I have emailled CLEAPSS asking about the Pearson survey and mentioning it is being questioned on here. I doubt I'll get an answer, though.

I don't, though I'd generally have faith in anything circulated by CLEAPSS.

I'm not sure if anything technicians recommend will be taken on board but given recent announcements about vocational education it might be subject to change anyway, I filled it in as best I could but it very much felt like an exercise of exam boards being able to say they asked the question already knowing full well what will and won't be included in new curricula.
I'm sure the findings of the last RSC survey will reiterate the problems with recruiting and retaining technical staff to support STEM subjects so any aspirations to improve hands on activities are undermined before they are implemented.

I haven’t completed the survey because I can’t answer half the questions. How can I know which experiments engage students? I am not in the classroom with them.

it's edexcel so no pondweed in the spec, wait for the aqa one if you want to complain about that.
