Our school doesn't use the NJC scale, so when I asked about the rise I was told "this is not something we will be implementing"

I'd ask HR to check just in case

They have offered the same flat amount as last year, the unions are recommending rejecting it.

Expect industrial action in September if they get the turn out, as the ballot seems to take months.

Do we know if this time it's a funded offer or not? The one we accepted last year didn't come with extra money for schools to actually pay staff with.

It's not fully funded, which is why I think they are saying to reject it because the schools can't afford it out of their budgets

I virtually attended the union meeting last week and the one-off payment was being rejected because for the people at the top of the pay bands it's only a 2-3% increase.

The Neu said it was £1925 across all bands but without funding (with the exception of the extra funding in the Autumn statement from Hunt) but that the unions were asking for RPI + 2%

The flat lump sum was 9.5% for me last year but will be lower this year since the increase.

if its not fully funded there will be redundancies, any offer not fully funded needs to be rejected

£1,925 is good for us.. As a full time worker. I'm happy with this offer and it back paid. The UNISON are asking for me to get 3k ..jokes..
