Once you are a registered member of the Preproom.org forums you can message other members in private. This way you can discuss private matters or take conversations from our general forums further without making them public.

To private message (PM) another member, click on their username (see image below) or search for a member by clicking the 'Members' tab and entering their name in the search box.

Clicking a username will then display the member's details. Click the "start a conversation" link to enter the private messaging page.

Here you can enter your message in the same way as you would post on a thread on the main forums. Once the message is sent you will be able to see the recipient details and other information in the PM info box on the right side of the screen.

You may embed photos, videos or link documents to any private message as you would a regular forum post.

You can keep track of your private messages at any time by clicking on the "Inbox" button at the top-right of the screen next to your username.

Within your inbox, you can start a new private message, also called a "conversation" by clicking the "Start a new conversation tab". This will take you to the following screen where you can add one or multiple participants who you'd like to message.

Please note: Private messaging is not to be used for commercial or promotional correspondence. Administrators have access to all accounts and anyone found abusing the system will be banned without warning as per our terms and conditions.
