    Biology Technician

    Location: Ardingly College, Haywards Heath

    Salary: £22,973.98 FTE

    Closing Date: Monday 22 October 2018

    Ardingly College is seeking to appoint a Biology Technician to support the Biology and Science Department on a full or part-time basis (minimum 25.5 hours) from January 2019.

    The role involves assisting the Biology Department in supporting the teaching and learning within the department by the management of the laboratory and the development of other resources. The Biology Technician will also be required to support pupils in assisting with practical work.

    The successful candidate will have knowledge of practical Biology, a head for problem solving and the ability to think laterally. Extensive knowledge of experimental processes and superb timekeeping and organisation skills are also essential.

    The role would ideally suit experienced Biology Technicians.

    The role is available to full or part time applicants. Full time hours are 42.5 hours per week and part-time hours are a minimum of 25.5 hours per week over three days, both working for 35 weeks per year (term-time only plus one additional week). The full time salary is £22,973.98 per annum, inclusive of 4.2 weeks paid holiday. Please indicate on your application what hours you would like to work.
