    Anybody had any luck in replacing the batteries on these ultra violet torches from Bio Rad IMG_7984.JPG ....
     
  2. Not yet. They are clearly meant to be disposable, so that's pretty much a direct challenge in my book. Once one dies, it will be getting a good taking apart.

  3. I was having this discussion with my apprentices last week. No solution so far. Battery not yet gone, so discussion wasn't too in depth...

  5. I think they are AG3 silver cells. Nothing but the best for Biorad.

    How did you manage to open it up without complete destruction?

    ah, ive taken a hacksaw to ours then re-glued it back 'Frankenstein-ish' IMG_7988.JPG IMG_7989.JPG
